Don’t blame the cow.

The cow was never the problem. The deal farmers are offered is. Here is a different one.

The cow has been blamed for a problem she did not create.

For the last fifty years, the system around her has been quietly tightening. The land got smaller. The herd got bigger. The contracts got tougher. The margin on every litre of milk got squeezed. And then, on top of all of that, the cow was handed a climate bill she had no way to pay.

This is not a fair fight. And the farmer knows it.

We started Herbi4 because the deal you are being offered is broken. The story has been that you have to choose. You can feed the country, or you can clean up the climate, but not both. Push the cow harder and the planet pays. Ease off and your business does. The buyers want lower methane numbers on their reports. The supermarkets want the same. Everyone except the person standing in the parlour at five in the morning seems to have an opinion about your cows.

You should not have to fix all of that on your own farm, with your own cash, in your own time. The deal needs to change.

H4Plus changes it.

It is not a chemical inhibitor. It is not something to be hidden in the feed, hoped about, and explained away when the public asks. It is a nutrient. A simple, daily dose. The cow gets back the energy she has been losing for the last fifty years of intensification. The energy stays in the animal. The animal makes more milk, and better milk, and lives a healthier life doing it.

The methane reduction happens at the same time, off the back of the same biology. It is real. It is large. It is independently measured. But it is not the reason you would adopt this. The reason you would adopt this is that the numbers in the parlour go up.

That is the difference we keep coming back to.

The first methane product that reached supermarket shelves asked the consumer to trust the food system. The consumer said no. That was not unreasonable. Nobody likes being told something is fine without being shown why. A boycott formed in seventy-two hours. The trial pulled back. The conversation went quiet. But the pressure on the herd has not gone away. The buyers still want their numbers. The clock is still ticking.

H4Plus answers the question a different way. It pays you first. The yield uplift covers the cost of the product several times over in the first year. Healthier cows, more milk, better quality, less methane, more income. In one product. Nothing to hide. Nothing to apologise for. A bottle on the shelf you can hand to a journalist or a member of the public and feel proud of.

We are British, we are farming first, and we are not asking you to take any of this on faith. The cow is a magnificent animal that has been doing her job for ten thousand years. She deserves a fair deal. So do you.

That is what we are here to build.
